The Rev Henry Webb Johnson D D of Hanover College class of 1872 and longtime pastor of South Bend First Presbyterian died after a long illness. He served 23 years at South Bend and aided Winona Assembly's growth. Capehart wins Gilpin essay contest with Monopoly Versus the People. prize $25.

The college dorms regulate calling hours for male visitors. Fridays to Sundays evenings only, from 7 pm to 10 pm. Sabbath conduct to be quiet and proper. Visitors stay on the first floor with open doors. arrangements rest on student-made rules and officers under the new self government system.

Dr. W. A. Hemingway a Chinese medical missionary and Oberlin 1898 graduate visited Hanover last week as Prof. Paul P. Boyd's guest. He spoke in chapel on China conditions and later addressed the Presbyterian church about the medical missionary’s work. He has served in an interior Chinese province improving health and relief for locals. Now on furlough visiting his native land.
