Mistrial declared in Tangipahoa councilman drug case

Federal judge halted the drug case against former Tangipahoa Parish Councilman R D Watson after a hung jury. Watson, 57, a former school bus driver, faced charges of manufacturing or cultivating marijuana tied to 38 plants on his property near Tangipahoa. Police found 218 plants on neighboring land.
