Taking steps to take back our streets
A Manitoba themed column cites multiple towns and incidents about youth violence, gangs, and community responses. It notes a 200-person youth violence seminar, an RCMP seizure of weapons, and a Meadow Lake court curfew ruling. It references Yorkton vandalism case with 19,000 dollar bill, Bow Island editorial praise for volunteers, and Weyburn Review front page showing a jailed 19-year-old. It argues for alternatives to jail and for using funds to help troubled youth.
