Special meeting September 14 1978 authorized attendance at urban association meeting and underwrote half the hall rent for Welcome Night.
Winnipeg widow Mrs. C. Ann Steele Fraser died at King Edward Hospital on August 31 1978. Born February 4 1885 in Hamiota she taught there and in Chumah after training at Portage la Prairie Normal School. Funeral at Campbell's Chapel Hamiota September 6 officiated by Rev Herb Lynas. Survived by brother J Moss Fraser and Jane McPherson Fraser with several predeceased siblings.
