75 Year Pin Presented to John Gunson at Park Residence
In Hamiota on June 11 1978 Mr John Gunson received his 75 year pin from the Canadian Forester Life Insurance Society presented by Executive Committee member Mrs Doreen Ryan of Boissevain Manitoba. Gunson 99 in good health. He joined the Forester Lodge January 2 1902 at Crandall Court Arrow River later transferring to Hamiota. He has held several offices and attended many High Court Conventions.

Hamiota Nursery School Opens New Year
The Hamiota Nursery School held its September meeting on the 6th with twenty mothers present. New officers are President Heather Sheane Vice-President Lorraine Brooks Secretary Mariann Curle and Treasurer Joyce Knight. Nursery sessions start Monday September 11 with 11 three year olds and 24 four year olds enrolled. Teachers are Barb Brown and Wilma Bell. A fee of 1.00 per session applies with sessions lasting 14 hours for 3-year olds and 24 hours for 4-year olds.
