Hamiota to Hold Eighth Terry Fox Run

The Hamiota Health Centre staff with TOPS members plan the eighth worldwide Terry Fox Run and sixth for Hamiota. A 10K and 5K course will start and finish at the Health Centre Outreach area from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Pledge sheets are available at the Post Office and Health Centre locations. Anniversary Observed for Phil and Lorraine Lonsdale

A Saturday August 13th 25th anniversary party was held at the Lonsdales home. Family members including Isabel Hill Nora Crampain Marion Collister Merle Cowan Jack Collister and many others attended. Dennis Lonsdale led a 25th anniversary roast. A camp fire and weiner roast followed. weather was perfect and all enjoyed the event.

Men Bailed Up On Roof In Windy Holiday Prank

During a Sardinalla holiday, several men climbed a roof to tend a chimney. A gust blew away their ladder while women explored town, leaving the men stranded aloft until a passerby spotted them. No injuries reported.
