Midget Club winds up season with Pot Luck Supper
CARDALE The Midget Baseball Club held a season wind-up with a Pot Luck Supper in the Arena on Sunday October 19 drawing about 45 attendees. Harvey English acted as MC and awarded novelty prizes to players. Len Tait Bob Hedley Shorty Phillips and Randy Earl received extra honors. Liz Phillips was presented a corsage and a Framed Photo Collection for Coach Randy Earl and manager Shorty Phillips. Individual and group pictures were given by Harvey Pearl English and Shorty Liz Phillips, with special mention to Richard English for team photography. The squad won the Mid West Trophy and reached the Provincial Finals against Pilot Mound, which were canceled due to bad weather. Team members include Ken Tait Merv Fontaine Bill Marks Ryan Crighton Bill Thomson Morley Hedley Gordon Paddock Dean Grobowski Kelly Sage Fred Phillips Dave Smith Richard English Blaine Gerrard Brent Moffat and Kurt Kamarous. Coach congratulates the team for a job well done.
