Birdtail River Speech and Dance Festival Scheduled in Shoal Lake

The Birdtail River Speech and Dance Festival will run November 1 to 3 at Shoal Lake School Auditorium with a final concert on Friday. Adjudicators are Mrs. Lorraine Scott of Elkhorn and Mrs. Florence Wid d icomb of Birtle. The event fits Manitoba’s network of 35 festivals drawing about 120 000 participants and 2 000 volunteers nationwide.

Shuffleboard Club Reorganize in Hamiota

The Shuffleboard Club reorganized on Tuesday October 17 1978 at 2 p m in the Community Room. Minutes and treasurer report accepted. Lunch routine changes discussed five or six members to bring lunch Mondays with substitutes if needed. Play starts November 6 1978. New members may phone 764 2217 or 764 2282 by October 27.
