Parkissimo Lodge Notes and Local Visits Across Miniota
Doris Peel’s fall led to hospital care with a quick recovery expected. Winnipeg visitor Kathy Stowe joined Kim Stowe visiting Grandma Mabel Stowe, with Thanksgiving gatherings at Bob Stowe’s in Virden. Marion Watts returned from Esterhazy after ten days with Charlie and Edna Watts. Margaret Foster hosted granddaughter Michelle Foster of Two Creeks over Thanksgiving. Several locals visited Jean Cook after a baptism, including Jack and Vi McKean of Red Deer. I plan a Brandon weekend to be with daughter Linda Schrader. A fire door origin from Reeves steam engine sparks curiosity as Dave Stewart, long-time Miniota resident, recalls an 1916 incinerator behind the old hall now museum, leaving the author disappointed by the eventual ending.
