Chumah District Celebrates Butler 50th Wedding Anniversary
The Chumah people extend congratulations to Jack and Doris Butler of Minnedosa on their 50th wedding anniversary. District attendees enjoyed an afternoon tea in Minnedosa, with many visiting the couple on Tuesday afternoon. Pearl Kidd attended a baptism in Hamiota United Church for Karlee Lyn Brooks, daughter of Warren and Kathy Brooks. Thanksgiving gatherings featured many local families from Winnipeg, Brandon, Estevan, and Portage. The Chumah Ladies Club met in Birtle for October, planning a Library Craft Sale and bake table, with notes on past events, donations, and upcoming activities. Final plans were set for the 50th anniversary supper on November 11.
