Birdtail River School Division No 38 trustees met November 23 1989 at 7 30 p.m. at Crandall Division Office with directors Nicholls McDonald Hudson Budzinski Genung and members Chappell Barteaux Murray Bridge Carter Bomak Leland Huberdeau Deschambault present. Actions included approving agenda minutes 1989 audited financial statements compassionate leave for Carla Fulton teaching hires Donna Westaway and Audrey McKerchar resignation of Audrey McKerchar as teacher's assistant granting leave of absence for Joan Baker approval in principle for a distance education program and student transfer requests. Adjourned to December 14 1989 at 1 00 p.m.

The Oak River Friendship Club voted officers for 1990 at its November 20, 1989 meeting held at the rink. President Frank Paddock, 1st Vice Norman Argue, 2nd Vice John Paddock, Secretary Merle Argue, Treasurer Fred Mylrea with lunch convenors Isabel Paddock and Jean Powers. The Christmas party is set for December 12 at 6 p.m. at the rink, with donations to the Christmas Cheer Fund in place of a gift exchange.
