Fall Rally For WMS At Decker Draws 49 Members

The S E corner of Birtle Presbyterial held its Fall Rally at Decker on Tuesday afternoon November 5 with 49 ladies registered. Mrs Parker opened the meeting stressing Fellowship Education Inspiration and Practical Help. Mrs Milne welcomed attendees and noted Christians are happiest. The Afternoon Auxiliary presented a playset on Community Friendship and a chart on needs of the church. Mrs Hopley described a missionary effort via a Hands Across the Seas magazine project. Mrs Thomas of Rock Lake Presbyterial spoke as delegate, theme What Doth the Lord Require of Us. Budget talks urged funds to June to meet area goals. Mrs Long led Bible study and Miss Conk e urged lit order. Brandon Presbyterial closed with prayer.

Bus Tour to Winnipeg For Agricultural Interests

Rural travelers may join a December bus tour from Hamiota leaving December 10 at 8:00 a.m. and returning December 12. Facts About Donating Blood for Canadians

A guide states healthy men or women aged 18 to 65 can donate blood. Donors are tested for anemia and provide about 13 oz or one quarter of a pint per donation. The body replaces fluid in 48 hours. donors report no pain and some have 120+ donations with no ill effects. Donations take 30 minutes and no diet restrictions apply. Each attendee receives an individual donor card with blood type and Rh factor for emergencies.
