Facts About Donating Blood

Healthy men and women aged 18 to 65 can donate. Donors are tested for anemia and give about 13 ounces. Fluid loss is replaced within 48 hours. Donations cause no pain and many have 20 or more givings. The process takes 30 minutes and no diet changes are needed. Each donor receives a card with blood type and Rh factor for emergencies.
