Birdtail River School Board Holds Inaugural Meeting

The Birdtail River School Division No. 38 held its inaugural meeting at Crandall on November 7 1979. Trustees sworn in were Waddell Simard Cottingham White Hanlin Kreager Tolton with Tolton re elected as Chairman and A Murray as Vice-Chairman through November 1980. A special meeting followed with Tolton Waddell Simard Cottingham White Hanlin Murray Choptuik Kreager Shier present along with Davison Hudson and McDonald.

Rolling River Board Elects Heapy Chairman at Inaugural Meeting

The Rolling River School Division elected Dick Heapy as Board Chairman at the inaugural meeting on Wednesday November 7. John Krahn was chosen vice chairman while two ward trustees were appointed to fill vacancies for wards 5 and 7. A formal policy for non resident Brandon students and interdivisional transfers was approved for 1980.
