Volunteers Honored at Hamiota Red Cross Meeting
The Hamiota branch held its annual meeting on October 17 1979 at 8 00 pm in the Municipal Council Building. Fifteen long time Red Cross volunteers were honored for dedicated service to local programs. Harold Tremaine spoke on Manitoba Red Cross activities and Bernaerdt praised volunteers for support of blood donor clinics and campaigns. He noted 3892 articles were completed in the A. I. D. program in 1978. Elections followed the documentary Humanity In Action with Eleanor Sedgwick elected president and Lou White vice president among others. 38 attendees shared coffee and doughnuts after the meeting.
