Manitoba Lung Association launches 82nd Christmas Seal Campaign
The Manitoba Lung Association begins its 82nd Christmas Seal Campaign on November 1 sending seals to 380,000 Manitoba homes. Since 1927 the campaign funds lung disease programs, with last year’s total at 416,000. The 1982 drive runs to January 31, 1983, supporting asthma, smoking cessation, education, and research.

Aireys Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary in Kenton
A.E. Airey and spouse marked their 50th wedding anniversary at their Kenton home on October 23 1982. About 115 relatives and friends attended with guests from Brandon Rivers Hamiota Winnipeg Oakbank Cardale Swift Current Harding Shiloh Virden Stoney Mountain and Rapid City. The celebration featured a family dinner with numerous Airey families in attendance and grateful thanks to all who helped make the day memorable.

Gordon Graham Seeks Election To Wheat Board Advisory
Gordon Graham a Newdale Manitoba grain and seed producer runs as an independent candidate for District 2 on the Canadian Wheat Board Advisory Committee. Shiloh U C W Meeting Highlights Canadian Native Art Talk
The Shiloh U C W met at Mrs. J. Butler's home on Wednesday November 3 with 16 members and one guest. Mrs. H. Carter opened hymn 550 and Mrs. Lloyd Bond led scripture and discussion on injustice and faith. Guest speaker Mrs. K Hames spoke on The Life Culture and Art of our Canadian Native People with beadwork basketry and carvings from across Canada and Sioux Valley. A wedding reception for November 20 was planned, 1983 officers announced, and a Remembrance Day poem by Mr Wm Wallender was read. lunch was served by Mrs. Dora Gray and Mrs. Catherine Carter.
