Swan Rescued Off Slough Then Housed At Sanctuary
Bob Watters rescued a white swan on his farm after cattle chased it near a frozen slough. It proved to be a Whistler Swan too young to migrate, and authorities arranged safe placement in a sanctuary. Nearby, community events included a Cardale Sunday School Halloween party and the Rollingdale Bowlathon raising about $3,000 for the Rollingdale Occupational Activity Center. Local visitors and travel notes wrap the scene.
