Red Coat Trail designated on Manitoba PTH 2 to Saskatchewan border
Manitoba will designate the Red Coat Trail along Highway 2 from Winnipeg to the Saskatchewan border. The move aligns with Saskatchewan and Alberta to promote the route as a southern Prairie corridor to the Crowsnest Pass. Minister Glen Findlay says the trail will highlight regional history and recreation along PTH 2. The route commemorates the 1874 NWMP march from Emerson establishing law and order across what became Saskatchewan and Alberta.
