The U C W gathered at Mrs G Knight's on November 2 at 8 p m with 11 members and 2 visitors. Treasurer reported 854 21 held. one get well card and one visit noted. Miniota council special meeting approves by laws and rail fix requests
At a October 24 1978 session Reeve V N Lockhart presided with all members present. Fire dept discussed fire phones. By laws 1771 and 1772 were read third time and passed. Council urged CN railway to add a side track and unloading dock near Minsota No 83. Court of Revision adopted 1979 General Assessment Roll Personal Property and Business Tax Roll. Questions on CPR line right of way and tax roll additions were resolved. Council adjourned to November 8 1978.

Trapline Incentive Plan Shows Strong Early Results
Manitoba Hydro’s five year Registered Trapline Program reports $603 159 in compensation paid at mid-point and production at or above 12 year medians. Initiated in 1975 to aid trappers affected by hydro projects, the plan covers 108 traplines and 258 trappers with incentives to re establish production and develop new lines. Endorsed by the Northern Flood Committee and the Conservation Branch with Local Fur Councils.
