Community programs expand in Manitoba with recycling gear and band plans
The Glenboro Recycling Committee received a glass crusher built in Souris and funded by a five thousand dollar Interprovincial Pipeline grant, enabling easier glass storage and shipping. The Minto Band Parents seek sixty-four hundred dollars to hire a Brandon-based band teacher amid low student numbers and travel by parents to Boissevain. MLA Darren Praznik opened Lac du Bonnet Centre expansion with a 56 by 20 foot addition doubling infant space, funded by a 156 thousand dollar project with forty thousand from Community Places and the rest from raffles and events. The Lac du Bonnet Centre now serves 47 children with twelve staff, operating 7:00 am to 5:30 pm with meals and programs for various ages.
