Kenton to Host Its First Trade Fair at Memorial Rink
The Kenton and District Business Association sponsors Kenton s 1st Trade Fair with 55 booths and a waiting list. Local merchants will display products from broadcasting vans to autos and florists. Country star Geoffrey Gilmer will perform in the afternoon, as Kenton holds the event on Saturday Nov 13 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Monster Mash invites spooks to Hamiota Halloween party
Spooks of all ages are invited to Hamiota's first Monster Mash on October 31 at the Community Centre. Midwest Recreation sponsors with community support and local donations fund prizes and activities. The event starts at 7 p.m. open to all ages, with teens only after 9 p.m. Admission requires a costume. door prizes and games planned.

Rural foundations eligible for startup funding program
The Thomas Sill Foundation launches a five year program offering up to one million dollars to create community foundations in rural Manitoba. It matches community contributions on a one to two basis, with a cap of one hundred thousand for the foundation and up to two thousand for startup costs. The effort aims to spark rural foundations valued in the millions, with existing dormant foundations eligible to apply.
