4H Beef and Swine Club Rally and Meeting Report
Kenton reports the 4 H Beef and Swine Club held its seventh meeting at John Wright’s home with fifteen members present. They planned the upcoming rally, chose workshops, and discussed meals parade and kid farmer contest. A new banner and hats were ordered. next meeting is June 9 at Ron and Mary Sangster with a judging clinic.

Cardale W I met May 18 at Helen Stewart’s home with the creed read and roll call. Discussions covered bus trips to Rainbow Stage and Folkarama with a decision to be made later. Jean Fortune gave a hospital report and Helen Stewart spoke on gardening tips, followed by a greenhouse tour. A strawberry shortcake closing and next meeting set for June 15 at 1 30 p.m. Corsage making is the planned program. The Cardale U C W raised 774 dollars for the Canadian Cancer Society and thanks were extended for donations from the community. Donn Warner, son of Vivian and Cam Stewart of Minnedosa, returned May 19 from Winnipeg Hospital after major surgery and is expected back at school soon. Best wishes sent for Dom’s health and recovery.
