The Hamiota United Church Executive Council met May 9 1988 at 7 30 p m in the choir room with eleven members and one guest present. Kathleen Musgove attended a Decker church service on May 8 as her great grandson Jason was christened. Rev. Glenna Beauchamp led the service with Bob and Linda Wickens of Virden as parents. A Mother's Day dinner outing drew a larger crowd than out, while Ruth Rockley treated her mother to an excursion. Hairdressers Ruth and Susan visited biweekly for hair, and tulips with fresh rains enhanced the main entrance. Thursday evening featured a church service with Beauchamp, choir, and Joan Strachan at the piano, followed by lunch and social time. Mrs. Joe Strachan is moving in this weekend, and Mary was welcomed to the residence.
