Manitoba Summer Games begin regional events across province
The 1992 Manitoba Summer Games will involve upwards of 10 000 participants in nine sports from baseball to windsurfing. Regional Games precede the finals in Minnedosa and Neepawa August 19 23 with some events open to all ages and athletes with disabilities. Art Club Holds Successful Show in Hamiota
Hamiota Art Club hosted a well attended show and tea celebrating Canada’s 125th birthday. About 200 people enjoyed ninety nine displayed pictures. Raffle winners were Angela Campbell Faye Hildrebrand and Effie Drummond. Thanks to all helpers and lunch staff.

Kay McLaren of Virden was drawn May 3 during the Hills Concert at the Virden Aud Theatre to win a gourmet meal for four at the Clae Mar Inn. Manitoba Opera will perform Hansel and Gretel and other arias May 20 at 7:30 p.m. in the Virden Aud Theatre with rush tickets at the door.
