Senior Band Trip to Minot Highlights School Involvement
Hamiota senior band students and younger participants joined chaperones Joyce Knight Mona Butler Heather Sheane and Carol Smith for an April 26 27 overnight trip to Minot North Dakota. They toured Minot High School Magic City Campus and Minot Air Force Base.

TOPS Spring Awards Held by Hamiota Chapter
The Hamiota TOPS club held its Fifth Annual Spring Awards on April 29 1992. Betty Gregory announced outgoing and incoming officers and presented charms. Sharon Robertson received carnations while eleven Charter members were recognized with ribbons. Kathy Thompson and Sharon Phillips earned best weight loss awards in divisions 3 and 5. Weight loss ribbons went to fourteen members. Elaine Musgrove gave Attendance awards to eight members. 1991 KOPS graduates and alumni received silk roses, and reinstated KOPS were honored with roses. Kathy Therrien crowned 1991 Chapter Queen and shared her weight loss success.

Festival work presented at Oak River United Church
About 60 people gathered at Oak River United Church on Monday April 27 to enjoy an evening of festival work. Nineteen young performers presented piano organ flute vocal and spoken poetry to the appreciative audience. Mrs N Argue M D for the evening thanked the performers on behalf of the Oak River W I. Special thanks were given to Mrs Jo Ann McTavish and Mrs Carol Forsyth for organizing the program. A collection was taken to support festival work.
