VP clarifies its role in deferral payment controversy
Earl Geddes denies NFU claims that KAP officials were paid by the federal government to attend a March 5 1987 Ottawa meeting on the Special Canadian Grains Deficiency Payment program. He notes KAP joined CFA discussions and that travel costs may be reimbursed by the government only as a standard practice. Geddes criticizes NFU for attacking a fellow farm group amid a broader farmer funding crisis.
