KAP urges changes to Highway Traffic Act in Manitoba
Keystone Agricultural Producers urge Manitoba Motor Transport Board to recommend changes allowing one farmer to haul livestock for another legally and be reimbursed for costs. They argue current law 180(2)(c) makes neighborly help illegal and risks insurance, calling for consistency with grains and horticulture transport and no profit motive. Earl Geddes of Pilot Mound voiced the push, noting practices already common but illegal under present wording.
