Printer Wins Bank Overdraft Case Against Scotiabank
In Concord Ontario businessman Doug Rider of Let's Print Ltd. sued Bank of Nova Scotia after a postdated cheque was cashed and caused overdraft fees. The small claims court awarded Rider 715 plus costs and interest, ruling the bank erred and delayed payment escalation. The bank still refused to pay and bailiffs were arranged to seize assets.
