Bill Hall, editorial page editor of the Lewiston Tribune, reflects on a brood of late bloomers who pursue education despite delays. He notes six children, four with degrees in business, nursing, and a doctorate earned later in life, two grandchildren, and a wife who earned a doctorate English degree. He admits his own lifelong shortcut and pride in their perseverance, concluding that late bloomers can flourish exceptionally.
