Lavinia Students Council dance set for June 29
The Students Council of Lavinia will host a dance at the school on Wednesday June 29. The W A cleared 94 dollars 54 cents at the Silver Tea and Sale of Home Cooking held in Hamiota Saturday evening. Mr and Mrs Kelly of Portage La Prairie visited the home of Mr and Mrs Laverne McConnell. Mr and Mrs Cecil Whyte of Thornhill spent the weekend with Mr and Mrs Harvey Skinner.

Annual Church Service By I C C F And Rebecah Lodges
The Annual Church Service of the I. C. C. F. and Rebecah Lodges was held at the United Church with Rev. Friebert delivering a sermon on the Good Samaritan. The choir sang God is Love and Noreen Andrews was soloist for a Memorial Service presented by the Rebecah Degree Staff. A social hour followed in the Lodge room.

Mission Band Holds Picnic and Baby Band Party
The Mission Band wrapped up with a picnic on the school grounds led by Ethel Randell and Myrtle Watt. About 80 children enjoyed lunch and freshie with Kay Curll supplying treats. A rainy afternoon Baby Band Party on June 17 at the church drew 30 mothers and 40 preschoolers led by Mrs Lena Robinson with Nina Bailey Ethel Duncan and Eula Woods assisting.
