New Upland Game Folder Showcases Manitoba Birds and Beasts
Manitoba's Department of Mines and Natural Resources released a full color folder on upland game birds and big game. It features six big game animals and six upland birds with color photos by six Canadian wildlife photographers and drawings by Clarence Tellenius. The National Museum Ottawa provided photographs. Awards Night Planned at Hamiota Collegiate
Hamiota Collegiate announces its first Annual Awards Night for Saturday June 10 at 8:00 p.m. in the Elementary School Auditorium. The program will include division pins for provincial placing students and teams dating to 1959, flashers for current scholars, and trophies for the 1966-57 year. The public is invited.

Hamiota Red Sox defeated St Lazare 18-9 as Gary Keating earned the win with five strikeouts. HCI Students Excel At Winnipeg Field Meet
On Saturday June 9 nine HCI members attended the bog and Field Meet at Sargent Park Winnipeg. The team won three fourths very good in Provincial competition with Ron Stewart placing 4th in triple jump Val McNiven 4th in discus and Del Hunsaker 4th in high jump. An Award Night to honor successful students and teams will be held Saturday June 10.
