Mental Health Meeting Held in Hamiota May 12
The Hamiota Branch of the Canadian Mental Health Association met at Chumah Hall at 2 00 on Wednesday May 12 with president D Hudson in the chair. Treasurer reported a bank balance of 614 17 and a motion carried to send 532 to CMHA from canvass funds raised by the United Church Youth Group. The group plans a June meeting to draft a community stress questionnaire with broad representation. Reports covered West Man Brandon meeting and Geriatric Care in Russell. Dr Toews defined mental health and speakers addressed communications, listening, and youth emotions. Luncheon speaker Lenore Dinsdale spoke on Society s straight jackets and the pressure of others expectations. Meeting adjourned at 3 10.
