Manitoba Unveils Deregulation Gas Policy To Cut Prices
Premier Howard Pawley announced a new policy to lower Manitoba natural gas prices by more than 50 million dollars annually. The plan includes signing producer contracts, creating Manitoba Consumer Gas Corporation, and buying gas reserves, with prices below two dollars per thousand cubic feet for Manitobans.

At the June 29 committee meeting chaired by Lorne Vale with Vaughn Wilson Ernie Buhley George Vincent Ken Briggs and Ethel Robertson present the group approved a new fee schedule for the Hamiota Handy Transit. In town trips cost 1.00 single, 2.00 return. out of town within the district 17c per loaded km, out of district plus 1.00 per pickup. mobility service 22c per loaded km with user supplied driver. Qualified drivers to be paid 5c per km for out of town trips effective July 1 1987. A 24 hour advance booking is encouraged via Village Office 764-2779.
