Six group meetings were held the week after the December 15 leaders' meeting. Of 90 enrolled, 75 members and leaders attended. Reports came in from Scotia, McConnell, The Western Workers, Keen Kitchen Kinb, and the Home Economic Hustlers.
The YPS annual home comers’ social met in the church parlors on Tuesday evening December 27 with about eighty present. Duncan Matheson chaired, the program opened with O Canada, included solos by Alma Middleton Nina Batchard and Hugh Gray, a vaudeville sketch by L Angus and B Belcher, and a speech by Dr McCullagh. Social games followed led by Gordon Sheardowe, a society paper read by Douglas Rattan, a generous lunch served, and the evening closed with Auld Lang Syne.
The Fireside Kitchen Klub held its third meeting at Mr. Laird's home with all but one member present. Members shared painting and decorating tips and showcased note books. A large group attended the Christmas tree event on Christmas Eve with varied performances. Santa.
A letter from F R Longworth of the Brandon Children's Aid Society expresses deep gratitude for Hamiota and district donations. It notes 136 to 186 wards received Christmas clothing or necessities, no luxuries, just small gifts for each child. The items include clothing and basic needs, with appreciation for continued support and Merry Christmas wishes.

A 1908 image of Hamiota merchants shows many changes over 25 years. The note lists shops such as The Chambers Co, Manitoba Hardware Co, Heddesheimer's Bakery, Jos. McLean's Implement Warehouse, Lemon's Store, Sheardown's Blacksmith Slip, Venables Jewelry Store, and others. Several pictured locals have since died. an asterisk marks those deceased.
