Hamiota items report guest visits from Edmonton and Shoal Lake, Christmas greetings, and New Year social plans. Local church services, a euchre drive, Young People Society meetings with lantern slides, and a Christmas tree program are announced with dates in early January 1933. Community members listed.
Christ Church Wardens urge parishioners to contribute to the Apporionment Fund despite harvest postponement. A New Year greeting thanks readers and outlines plans. The second annual curling social on December 14 drew 24 tables, with Mrs. E McIntosh and W J Barges winning the ladies and gent’s prizes, followed by a bountiful lunch and a Grand March led by Allan Eby and Mrs. E D Hudson.
On Thursday December 15 at the Lief home friends hosted a surprise party for Mr and Mrs Lief to celebrate their thirty five years of marriage. Mrs Jordan presented a gift on behalf of the guests and a dainty lunch followed a card party and dancing. Their daughter Millie Lief from International Falls attended the event.

The Dolly Contest closed at 10 o clock Saturday night at the Drug Store. Winners listed include Eileen Burgess first, Mildred Campbell second, Velma Smith third, Edwina Rutherford fourth, Jane Hudson fifth, Eden Park sixth, Rath Pearson seventh, Sih Fay Kirk eighth, Joan Hemphill ninth, Doreen MacMillan tenth, Hazel Angus eleventh, Lorna Webb twelfth, Yvonne Hern thirteenth, Donna Hanson fourteenth, Annie Wright fifteenth.
