The Manitoba Jobs Fund announces Manitoba Careerstart 84 to create summer jobs for students and unemployed youths aged 16 to 24. Employers can apply Feb 20 to Mar 26 1984 with wage subsidies up to 4 per hour for non profits and 2 per hour for others, plus up to 10 percent in benefits. Minimum 210 and maximum 640 hours per position, 30 to 40 hours weekly, priority to employment-disadvantaged hires.
