Westman Senior Citizens Council meets in Brandon 1987

The first Westman Senior Citizens Council Inc meeting was held February 9 in the Provincial Building Brandon with 63 delegates from 33 clubs. George Flay presented the latest Senior Citizen issue and urged item submissions by April 22. A $1 yearly assessment was approved for games playoff participants to fund winter and summer events.

The Hamiota Seniors Council and associated clubs held February meetings and events. Speakers covered Support Services for Seniors, a Happy Gang gathering featured a stroke talk with an included film, and local playoffs crowned winners in cribbage whist carpet bowling floor shuffleboard and table shuffleboard with seventy six participants.
