Massey caps tournament opener with one-sided win
In front of seven of eleven games, Vincent Massey led by Lynda Whyte routed Virden 67 to 10 in the opener. Hamiota beat Harrison 39 to 22 as Del Hunsaker and teammates contributed points. Vincent Massey Winnipeg defeated Melville 55 to 7 with Janet Bendelow scoring 22. Friday's final saw Regina Balfour Tech upset Glenlawn.

Ice Show Delights Hamiota Audiences On World Theme
The Hamiota Figure Skating Club staged its third annual ice show on February 19 before a large crowd. Dr J E Hudson hosted and 80 members performed nine group numbers plus solos and pair routines, with 12 Oak River girls joining for dance numbers. Nancy Fogarty wowed with two solo performances. The event raised 357.75 from admissions and programs as the cast celebrated a successful show and a Kenton performance the next night also drew good reception.
