Included are basketball tournaments at Hamiota Collegiate, Horticulture Day, a carnival, curling bonspiels and a blood donor clinic with dates and locations at elementary and high school sites. Passes cost 1 dollar from team members for the senior high girls tournament.

Annual Church Meeting Held at Hamiota Pentecostal Church
The Hamiota Pentecostal Church held its annual business meeting on Wednesday February 2 1977. Everett Gurr reported rising church and Sunday School offerings while Audrey Gurr noted increases. Officers were elected with Rodney Ulrich named Sunday School superintendent and Donald Ulrich appointed music director.

Barry Todd of Winnipeg was named outstanding Graduate student of the Weed Science Society of America for 1977 at St. Louis Missouri. He received a plaque and a $1,000 cheque from VELSICOL Chemical. He is a Manitoba PhD candidate and will join Canadian Hoechst Ltd in Regina as Research Co ordinator for Agricultural Chemicals starting May 1977.
