An old time ad lists 2 Reg 3c tubes 4% picture time fins cameras flash bulbs attachments developing printing enlarging aqua marine lotion and a special bottle priced at 1.25 dollars. The ad promotes multiple photographic supplies and a sale price on a bottle.
Community notices list curling club services hospital meetings and a theatre event in Hamiota. Dated activities include a 7 p m church service February 27, a Ladies Aid meeting February 18, a three act play on February 25, and a 60th Diamond Jubilee Bonspiel February 28 to March 5 with a Minnedosa rink. A death notice for Ellen Reading, obituary details, and a memorial service are noted.
The Chumah Ladies Club met at Mrs A E Andrews home with 11 members present. Mrs Donald Kirk led the meeting and, with others, participated in the Worship Service. Vance Stewart and Colin Grant received thanks for demonstrating how to upholster a hostess chair.

Sandy Russell and partner won the North Western High School Bonspiel Secondary event at Shoal Lake after an undefeated run. The rink included Jimmy Baxter Phyllis Park and Marilyn Mathison. Curling leaders Roy Pollock and mates have seven wins. Lee Wayne Wilson Larry Gregory and Wally Jasper tied for second with six. Grade II spelling champions Donnie Pittendreigh led the grade. Basketball results show Donna Pulver 71 Emily Evennik 56 Linda Morton 51 Rae Fraser 46 Florence English 34.
The hobby class met Tuesday February 8 with members present. Cushion cover making was the main item, crocheting discussed. Lunch was hosted by Mrs Gray and Mrs Anderson. Next meeting will be at Mrs Lobban’s February 22. Ivan Routledge and O Davidson drove to Winnipeg from Oak River. Mr and Mrs J Morison, Delia and Margaret visited the Beasleys at Oak Lake Sunday.
