Dennis Cochrane and Ed Bretour of Mile 80 Development in Hamiota Manitoba developed PROTECTive a molded high density polyethylene spare tire cover designed to keep debris out of the rim and allow easy access. The pair pursued patents in the US and Canada and plan marketing after prototype completion and trade shows in Toronto and Detroit.
