The Hamiota Agricultural Society weighs changes to its two day fair with new leadership under Dr Allan Preston and Ernie Buhler as secretary treasurer. Health Authority Sees 1997 Operational Surplus Report
Marquette Regional Health Authority Board met January 21 in Shoal Lake to approve by laws and policies including GP-23 Physician Relocation, to review long term employee recognition, and to confirm a 1997 financial statement showing surplus in operational funding. Public meetings on the Community Health Needs Assessment are planned for Spring 1998 with a final CHNA due by March 31 1998. The board also discussed a district councils term ending March 31 1999 and a vacancy to be filled after Bonnie McKay’s resignation. The authority will join a rural Group Purchasing Program to reduce costs.
