The Hamiota Legion lists year long community acts including donations to the Centennial Library, Birdtail River Festival, Hamiota District Health Centre, and Friends of Deryck Vehicle Fund. It funded a graduation bursary, supported the RCMP Bicycle Safety Program, aided the School Band, donated a wheelchair, and ran weekly bingo. Total year donations surpassed $1600 with new 1987 officers George Hutchings and Jamie Jamieson.
