Peter Holle of The Prairie Centre argues against union vetoes in the Canadian Airlines restructuring fight. He criticizes CAW leader Buzz Hargrove for delaying a wage concession vote and urges Parliament to back market-based deregulation, tax changes, and foreign investment limits to avert a bailout and preserve service and jobs.

Creighton boy lucky after dog attack avoids serious injury
Eleven-year-old Mark Nelson was attacked by a Rotcheller dog in early November while passing a neighbour’s house. He curled into a ball to shield his head, receiving over 100 stitches after the dog was restrained by the owner and taken to hospital. The dog was quarantined for 10 days to test for disease before a decision on destruction. The incident prompted renewed calls that dangerous dogs have no place in residential areas.
