Manitoba Crop Insurance Corporation payments fell to a three year low with about 1.2 million dollars in compensation this year. About 4 500 claims are being processed from 14 000 signed contracts with farmers paying 2 million in premiums. The corporation covers 13 crops including wheat oats barley canola flax and potatoes.
