Treasurer Grace Anderson reported 3189.34 in the bank and activity included October admissions 66 newborns 3, 128 outpatient visits, 438 mobile meals, 18 home care workers, and safety course attendance up. Baby Clinic run by Kathy Gwyer Pat Tremaine and Pat Cochrane. new transport incubator used for a newborn to Brandon. staff raffles for equipment and activities. pool table donation by staff and 250 toward solarium equipment. next meeting January 28 1977.

Band Committee Meet Hamiota Dec Meeting
The Hamiota School Band held its monthly meeting in the Collegiate on December 2. It agreed to invite a fourth year woodwinds student from Brandon University to assist with lessons and start teaching. Letters will go to music stores about needed instruments and prices. A motion to invite the Treble Teens from Steinbach to perform in Hamiota in March was approved. The next meeting is January 6.

Education Seminar Brings 140 To Manitoba University
One hundred forty interested people from diverse backgrounds met at the University of Manitoba to discuss Continuing Adult Education for all. A opening panel included senior citizens labor groups women native groups and rural representatives. Mrs Doug Leland spoke on rural needs and university support. A second panel offered educational field insights and a founding council was elected with Mrs Leland as rural representative.

Miss Linda Lundstrom Ties To Miss Canada Pageant Lore
In a note from Kenton, Bill and Norma Gray recall Linda Lundstrom, the Miss Canada Pageant dress designer, babysitting them in 1966 1968 while they lived in Cochenour Ontario. Lundstrom born in Cochenour attended Red Lake High. her mother ran Fabric Centre and Linda showed early dressmaking talent. The Lundstrom couple later retired to Steep Rock Manitoba.

UCW Christmas Meeting At Routledge Home
The UCW met December 2 at 8 p.m. with 18 members and 12 guests for a Christmas gathering. Mrs. W Brown traced carol origins and led singing with Mrs. W Riddell at the piano. prayers and verses followed. Treasurer reported a balance of 721.53, and officers including Mrs. George Green were noted for future duties. A social time and bountiful lunch ended the evening.

Pot Luck Supper Celebrates 4-H Beef Club in McConnell
The 4-H Beef Club held its annual Pot Luck Supper at the Mc Connell Community Centre on Saturday November 27 with about 60 attendees from supporting organizations. Seals honored John Thompson Wendel McConnell and Catherine Boyd for years of service while John and Irene Thompson received gifts on departure. Betty Gregory and Wendel McConnell spoke on club activities and trips to Lake Head and Illinois, drawing praise from attendees.
