The Keystone Agricultural Producers oppose amendments to the Drug Patents Act that would extend patent protections for new brand name drugs from 10 to 17 years. The McConnell 4 H Beef Club held an awards night at the McConnell Community Center with speeches by Jack Boyd Dale Little Ryan Murray Carla Bridge and Keith Bridge. Certificates were given for years of leadership to Garth Short Jack Boyd Margaret Boyd Keith Bridge Carla Bridge Desmond Little. Carla Bridge won the Senior Record Book award Dale Little the Junior Record Book award Jason Bridge the Scrap Book award with Dale Murray as runner up. A humorous skit and slides of a United Nations trip were shown before lunch and social time concluded the evening.
