Miniota council appoints officials and approves by laws
At the RM of Miniota meeting on Nov 12 councillors pledged oaths and filed declarations. Council updated conflict disclosures, heard RCMP and arts council updates, approved by laws including highways maintenance and land sales, set committees, and discussed attendance at the UWM convention with office closures noted. A tax sale of sechs parcels occurred with deputy reeve purchasing unredeemed parcels.

Lions announce World Series pool winners and Upcoming Grey Cup tease
The Hamiota Lions report $790 paid to World Series pool winners led by Jim Kuculum and Bill Taylor with many named beneficiaries. Next week will show Grey Cup pool results. Jim Butler spoke on Nov 19 about Encounters with Canada in Ottawa. New members Jerry McTavish Greg Wright Kevin Harrison welcomed. The club thanks HCI for the yearbook ad and notes Neb and Wimp will manage Christmas card boxes starting December first.

The Miniota Merry 4-H'rs met on Oct 15 with speeches by Angie McKean Elizabeth Leland Kathryn Popper and Nat Howard. Donations of 10 to the Red Cross and Kidney Foundation were made. Jill Howard is District Representative. The club attended Remembrance Day Service on Nov 11. Annual Fun Fair occurred on Nov 15 and the achievement date is set for April 29. Speeches for the next meeting will be by Lindsey Gow April Lougheed Brad Cole and Kerilee Armitage.
