Manitoba Hydro reports higher income in 1996/97 first half
Manitoba Hydro reports net income of 18.8 million for the six months ended September 30 1996 up from a 3.4 million loss a year earlier. Revenue total 472.3 million and extrapro vincial sales 140.4 million. A severe September storm damaged HVDC lines raising costs and reducing net revenue by about 5.6 million with 3.8 million restoration costs.
