West-Man to Get New Television Channel in Manitoba
The Canadian Radio Television Commission approves Channel 7 Winnipeg and Western Manitoba Broadcasters plan to launch Channel 4 in Brandon Manitoba and move Channel 5 to a new tower southwest of Brandon. The tower will be 1335 feet tall and the service could debut in fall 1972. Over 150000 people in Western Manitoba and Eastern Saskatchewan would gain access.

WI ladies hosted husbands in Cardale November 24 for a turkey supper and social evening in the church basement. Jean Fortune Jr and Addie Peters led a sing and Mrs. Roy Espey thanked UCW ladies for the event. Prizes were awarded for guessing pictures of husbands from infancy to manhood and for guessing who you were. Gordon Elliot won the latter contest, with Elmer Koscielny and Lyle Dennison taking the picture-guessing prize.

Bicknell Named Manitoba Chambers of Commerce President
K. O. Ken Bicknell of Brandon has been appointed president of the Manitoba Chambers of Commerce after David R. Blake resigned to join the Provincial Legislature. The election of new officers will occur at the Portage la Prairie convention, April 23 to 25, 1972. Bicknell is a director and past vice president of the Brandon chamber.
